Third time's a Charm!

Sunday, 13 November 2016

Ellenborough Falls has been on the waterfall radar for many months now. However the two previous times we had set our alarms for 4am (cue biigggg yawns ) we were thwarted by weather. The first time there was too much rain and the second the cloud had cleared by the time we got there, so we journeyed to Diamond Head instead. Even this time luck still wasn’t great, as we slept through the alarms and weren’t on the road until 8am…Goodbye soft morning light!

Winter Walks and Wild Flowers

Sunday, 28 August 2016

The opportunity had finally presented itself to return to one of the most beautiful areas and bushwalks I have ever experienced as a child. The walk is part of the Sydney Royal National Park and ends up at Eagle Rock and Curracurrong Falls. The day started at 4am with the delightful sound of blaring alarms. We'd packed our kit the night before so after throwing on our clothes we left our hotel, jumped in the car and headed south. Gotta love Sydney driving this early in the morning, as a previously predicted 45 min drive took only half an hour. Probably due to the fact that every other sane person was still tucked up in their cosy, warm beds.

Exploring Glenrock

Sunday, 24 July 2016

Happy weekend! Hope it finds you all well. This latest post is going to be all about the amazing Glenrock State Conservation Area which is literally and luckily right across the road from me. I briefly mentioned it in the 360 Degrees of Newcastle article, but now we get to go into the finer details. But first of all, let us do a quick checklist to make sure this place is actually worth reading about. Waterfalls...tick, remote coastline...tick, coastal rainforest...tick, beautiful plant and bird life...tick, potential for biker riders, bushwalkers, nature spotters and families to all equally enjoy its space...tick! Hmmm. If you want a day out and about in nature that is free and easy to plan, then I think you should keep reading!

Newcastle - 360 Degrees of Beauty

Saturday, 16 July 2016

Woo hoo! My first ever post and I am so excited that it is about beautiful Newcastle! A place that I have been lucky enough to grow up in and over many years been able to enjoy all that it has to offer.

So what exactly does Newcastle have to offer? The answer is a lot! It is an incredibly diverse place and in my humble opinion has a little bit of everything for everyone. In this post however, the focus will be on being outdoors and enjoying the gifts of Mother Nature. Whether you travel North, East, South or West of this amazing place you are bound to have something wonderful to explore once you start moving those little feet of yours.
